LEXO for iPhone
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
In short: LEXO doesn't ask you to create an account, shows no ads, uses no third-party analytics and doesn't track you across apps or websites.
Your words, favourites, collections, progress and statistics are stored on your iPhone. Only when you buy or restore LEXO Premium do Apple and RevenueCat process data to verify the subscription.
Who we are
LEXO (“LEXO”, “we”) is the vocabulary and spelling app for iPhone and the website www.lexoword.com. For any privacy question, write to privacidad@lexoword.com.
Data stored on your iPhone
To work, LEXO stores locally on your device:
- Your preferences: vocabulary and app language, level, interests and pronunciation speed.
- Your learning activity: words seen, favourites, saved words, collections, your own words, answers, personal bests and statistics.
- Reminders scheduled on your iPhone.
This data is not sent to our servers — LEXO has no servers of its own for it. Widgets read a copy in a container shared on the same iPhone. If iCloud or computer backups are enabled, Apple may include this data in your backups according to your settings.
Purchases and subscription (Apple and RevenueCat)
Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store; LEXO never sees your card details. To check whether you have LEXO Premium we use RevenueCat, a provider that receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app, App Store purchase information (product, dates, subscription status) and basic technical data (device model, iOS version, store country and IP address).
We use this data only to activate, restore and manage your subscription. The legal basis is the performance of the contract you accept when subscribing. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's.
Notifications
LEXO can send up to three reminders a day (9:00, 15:00 and 20:00) with a word or a due review. They are local notifications, created and scheduled on your iPhone without any server. iOS asks for permission the first time you open the app, and you can turn them off anytime in Settings > Notifications > LEXO.
Pronunciation
Pronunciation uses your iPhone's system voices. LEXO doesn't record your voice or use the microphone.
What we don't do
- We don't ask for your name, email or any sign-up.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We don't sell or share your data.
- We don't track your activity across other apps or websites.
This website
www.lexoword.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no external fonts or services. The hosting server may log technical access data (such as IP address) for security purposes, for a limited time.
Retention and deletion
Data on your iPhone remains while the app is installed; deleting the app removes it from your device. Purchase data is kept as long as needed to manage your subscription and meet legal obligations. To cancel, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.
Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to privacidad@lexoword.com. As there are no accounts, we may ask for the order number on your Apple receipt to locate subscription data. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD: www.aepd.es).
Children
LEXO is an educational app for all ages and doesn't collect personal data to build profiles. Purchases require an App Store account, subject to Apple's parental controls.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version on this page with its update date.
